SHOCKING NEWS - Consider this: The number of children in the city of York, SC enrolled in free or reduced lunch is 68%. County wide the figure is over 50%!

 

That is not a misprint, over 5 of 10 school children in York County can't afford the basic necessities for school. It's impossible to focus on Abraham Lincoln, calculus, or a foreign language when you're embarrassed because of your dress, or cold from a lack of clothes.

 

Our Shoes of Hope 2012 program is one small step toward sharing God's love in our community. We distribute shoes again this year August 4, 11. Visit again fro soon to be announced details.

- For only $10 a child receives new shoes, socks, backsack & school supplies!

In August 2011 over 1800 pairs of shoes, socks, & backpacks were distributed in Clover, Fort Mill, and Rock Hill, SC! Our 2012 county-wide shoe distribution in York County (new shoes, socks, and a backsack of school supplies for an estimated 7,500 children that can't even afford lunch. Registration opens soon! ...
